What happens when a dog is recruited to be a Service
Protection Dog to a sixteen-year-old boy, and that dog
doesn't feel like he belongs in that job? Barklee is a dog
that talks to the audience as he experiences life with his first
Support & Protection assignment with a 16 year old boy that
suffers from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.

BARKLEE is a stage play written by Tom Cavanaugh. The
play was developed in live weekly readings of ten to fifteen
page increments at The Actors Gym N.Y. & L.A., Naked
Angels, and New Ambassadors, all developmental theater
companies in New York City, and the National Playwrights
Symposium at Cape May Stage Company in New Jersey.
Virtually the play was developed in Writer Labs with the film
collective We Make Movies in Los Angeles.
